Plotline Campaign Dashboard Revamp
PRODUCT DESIGN - DATA VISUALIZATION - USER EDUCATION
What is Plotline?
Plotline is a SaaS product that enables Growth Managers to publish tooltips, modals, and bottom sheets on their app for customer education & nudges without developer involvement.
What was the project about?
A revamp of the dashboard used by users to gauge the performance of a campaign. Plotline used certain metrics that users weren't familiar with, leading to a perceived lack of performance and knock-on impact on the NPS score and potential for impact on the Net Revenue Retention.
design output
Redesigned Campaign Dashboard
The key problem was users not being able to assess the effectiveness of their campaigns, often thinking they are performing worse than they were.
The redesign helped frame the data visualization in a more visually digestable form by prioritizing the principle of recognition over recall.
key Details
Connecting the metrics
Found a visual way of connecting seemingly disconnected metrics (that actually constituted a funnel) using Gestalt principles.
User education
Presented explanations of metrics in a visually digestable manner - inside the dashboard without breaking the experience of the user.
Data richness
Visualized metrics to be more in line with mental models of Growth Managers, including greater hover interactivity and a preview render of each step.
Plotline Campaign Creation Revamp
PRODUCT DESIGN - USER JOURNEY MAPPING - USER RESEARCH
What is Plotline?
Plotline is a SaaS product that enables Growth Managers to publish tooltips, modals, and bottom sheets on their app for customer education & nudges without developer involvement.
What was the project about?
The capaign editor allowed users to create mutli-step journeys for user education and feature nudges, with different UI elements available to the user. Despite Plotline's product thesis of quick go-live's, the editor itself presented numerous experience-breaking issues.
design output
Revamped Campaign Editor
The revamp solved major challenges such as the organization of content and the Information Architecture,
We also added visual cues to understand the relationship between UI placement and mobile screens and most importantly, allowing users to make in-line changes to their styling attributes.
key Details
Reducing decision fatigue
Cut down the decision fatigue and cognitive load in the start of the journey by introducing relative positioning cues and allowing easier scanning of available options.
Increasing user choice with reimagined Themes and Styles
Eliminated a huge experience-breaker by moving styling options and themes to be editable in-line by working with engineering to change how our system stored user tokens.
New styles are less restrictive and allow the option to apply styles to user-generated UI templates.
Templates, Key-Value labels & Feedback
Put a stop to dozens of duplicated campaigns with templates, that retain the UI patterns of popular campaigns.
Key-value pairs to distinguish between campaigns that can also be passed into analytics tools for stronger analysis.
UI Challenges
UI DESIGN - DESIGN LANGUAGE - DESIGN SYSTEMS
What are UI Challenges?
Abstract problem statements in fields that I have no exposure to, to force myself to learn and adapt as a designer. These are explorations of hypothetical products and situations.

Tire degradation calculator for F1
Born from an ambiguous problem ('Design a calculator') into a concept for F1 enthusiasts and strategists by studying the official F1 brand book.
Understood how tire degradation works, power curves, environmental factors and driver inputs.
UI Concepts | UI design
Check out page for military vendors
The task was to create a check out page. Added a humorous spin to imagine what a check out page might look like for a military vendor.
information hierarchy | ui design
Redesign of British tickets
Inspired by a fellow designer from the UK to redesign how train tickets are presented on their app by breaking down the information hierarchy.

Rajneeti - Game Design
GAME DESIGN - LEARNING & GAMIFICATION - USER TESTING
What was the project about?
Designed a board game to teach middle-school students about electoral constituencies by keeping the concept as the driver of the game mechanics and manipulating game design parameters of chance, player skill & knowledge and player interactions.
design output
Rajneeti Board Game
The revamp solved major challenges such as the organization of content and the Information Architecture,
We also added visual cues to understand the relationship between UI placement and mobile screens and most importantly, allowing users to make in-line changes to their styling attributes.
key Details
Inspired by real-life concepts
Players gain a majority foothold in the state by gaining resources, investing in media-boosting projects and earning momentum.
Also meant to serve as a reminder of the tactics politicians use to sway public sentiment.
Co-designed with students
The game was designed over 3 weeks by taking inspirations from popular games like Catan and play-testing with students with every step.
NTU Museum Map and App
EXPERIENCE DESIGN - APP DESIGN - STORYTELLING - CONTEXTUAL INQUIRY
What was the project about?
Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore has various artwork and installations scattered across the campus collectively termed the NTU Museum. The task was to reimagine the NTU Museum experience and make the prospect of exploring the NTU Museum more appealing.
design output
NTU Museum Map & App
The result of the project was a map that supported a revamped experience of the NTU Museum.
Artworks were organized around trails and thematic connections, though users still had access to groupings based on proximity.
AR and Contextual Cues
AR navigation, contextual information and audio recordings enhance the users engagement with artworks and make it easier to discover them.
Map redesign
The original physical map, though aesthetically pleasing, distorted relative positions and directions, and had some inaccurate illustrations.
This was fixed successively over two iterations and had new illustrations
Walking trails
The experience is supported by artworks organized into short to long walking trails.
We have two lives, and the second begins when we begin to properly name our Figma layers.
